Execution in Belarus of Siarhei Vostrykau

After the execution of another citizen in Belarus, Siarhei Vostrykau, on 6 May 2017, the European Union again reaffirmed its strong opposition to capital punishment in all circumstances.

Belarus is the only country in Europe which still applies the death penalty.
