Financial services: the Council approves programme to involve consumers in policymaking

On 11 May 2017, the Council of the European Union endorsed a programme to promote the involvement of consumers in policymaking in financial services. The European Parliament gave its approval on 27 April 2017 to the programme, which has a €6 million budget to cover the 2017-20 period. This follows an agreement with Parliament representatives reached on 14 February 2017.
