Background
The question of the movement of people and goods between Ireland and the United Kingdom, including the land border with Northern Ireland, was one of the key issues as the United Kingdom negotiated in 2017 with the European Commission to leave the European Union.Report of a speech by Ireland's Prime Minister (Taoiseach) Leo Varadkar at Queen's University in Belfast on the 4 August 2017. He expressed frustration and asked for more details on what the post-Brexit UK border with Ireland would look like.
