Summary: The European Commission launched on 23 May 2018 a proposal amending Regulation 883/2013 concerning investigations conducted by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF). This amendment seeks to ensure that OLAF is equipped to work closely with the EPPO to detect and investigate fraud across the European Union. Further information: The Council of the European Union adopted in October 2017 a Regulation implementing an enhanced cooperation initiative on the establishment of the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO). The proposed amendment to Regulaton (EU, Euratom) No 883/2013 aims to ensure that OLAF becomes a close and reliable partner of the EPPO, and that it continues to conduct administrative investigations to complement the EPPO's work. |
