Summary:

EU ministers of health held a video conference on 15 April 2020 to take stock of the situation and measures taken in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in the European Union and to reflect on the challenges ahead in order to find the best coordinated approach for moving forward.

In their exchange of views, they focused on how to:

  • work together towards a common EU exit strategy;
  • improve coordination across the EU;
  • identify the most appropriate time for relaxing the measures;
  • provide clear information and guidance to the public.
