European Economic Forecast. Autumn 2020

The European Commission published on 5 November 2020 its Autumn economic forecast for the European Union (EU) and the Eurozone.

Further information:

The forecast shows that economic activity across Europe suffered a severe shock in the first half of the year and rebounded strongly in the third quarter as containment measures were gradually lifted. However, the resurgence of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic at a later stage resulted in disruptions as national authorities introduced new public health measures to limit its spread.
