Eleven countries lose one seat in the European Parliament after the 2014 elections to make room for Croatia, which is expected to join the EU on 1 July and also forfeits one of the seats allocated to it. Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal and Romania each lose one seat in the European Parliament after the EU elections, held between 22 and 25 May in all 28 member states. |
