2015 EU budget negotiation

The charts in this infographic illustrate the different positions adopted by the European Parliament, Council of the European and European Commission on the draft 2015 EU budget. Those positions were the starting point for the conciliation talks between Parliament and Council – the two arms of the EU’s budgetary authority – which failed to find agreement before the deadline on 17 November 2014.

The European Commission will now make a new proposal for a draft 2015 budget.
