2022 European Semester Autumn Package

The European Commission launched the 2022 European Semester cycle of economic policy coordination with the publication of its Autumn Package on 24 November 2021.

Further information:

The European Semester provides a framework for coordinating economic and employment policies of the Member States in the European Union (EU). This Package includes:

• Annual Sustainable Growth Survey 2022;
• Communication on the 2022 Draft Budgetary Plans (DBPs): Overall Assessment;
• Opinions on Euro area Draft Budgetary Plans (DBPs) for 2022;
• Alert Mechanism Report 2022;
• Proposal for a Joint Employment Report 2022;
• Council Recommendation on the economic policy of the euro area;
• Communication on the fiscal situation in Romania;
• Post-programme surveillance reports for Cyprus, Ireland, Spain, and Portugal;
• Enhanced surveillance report for Greece.

It draws upon the Autumn 2021 Economic Forecast previously published by the European Commission.
