Summary:

Meeting in The Hague, ministers confirmed their intention to conclude membership negotiations with Denmark, Sweden and Finland, and cooperation agreements with Norway and Iceland before the end of the year. In preparation for this enlargement, ministers gave instructions for the adaptation of the computerised Schengen Information System (SIS). They also welcomed EU governments' agreement on a convention to improve extradition procedures.
