Summary: The 7th Ordinary Session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly took place on 25-27 June 2018. Seven resolution were adopted during this session. Further information: During the plenary session, Euronest called upon the European Union (EU) its mediation in the frozen conflicts, as they are seen as a major challenge for democracy and security in the region. The members also adopted resolutions on direct foreign investment, energy efficiency and undeclared labour. They also called for the liberation of the Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia, and the acceleration of the ratification of the comprehensive and enhanced partnership agreement between the EU and Armenia in the EU national parliaments. The Euronest Parliamentary Assembly was established in 2011 as the parliamentary institution of the Eastern Partnership. Meeting once a year, it aims to promote political association and further economic integration between the EU and its Eastern neighbours. |
