A New Context for EU-Korean Relations

According to many observers, the European Union needs to upgrade its policies in Asia. At the same time, the crisis has deepened Asian countries’ stakes in the European economy. Much of the focus has been on China, and to a lesser extent India.

As the EU deepens its involvement in the region, it is interesting to track trends in the Union’s relations with the Republic of Korea, which today stands as a remarkably successful model of economic and political development.
