This is the first title of a six part regional series from Europa. The book aims to provide an impartial account of political events in the history of European countries. The book is divided into sections on each country with brief chronological details of the earliest events to the most recent. It outlines economic, social and cultural events that have had an affect on each country's political history including wars, border disputes, assassinations, formation of political parties, treaties and constitutional events. Particular emphasis is given to contemporary events in nations that have had recent political upheaval such as the Balkan countries.
