Commission staff hoping to brush up on their language skills arrived back from their summer holidays to a rude awakening - literally.

Sources say that in order to clamp down on those naughty fonctionnaires who used the classes as a handy excuse for lying in bed for an extra hour before turning up at the office, the powers that be have moved the lessons forward by half an hour to a dreamy 8am.
