Date: 04/09/1997 Fernando Mansito Caballero, who received his marching orders as deputy director-general of DGVI (agriculture) under 'Article 50' procedures on 30 July, has found a nice new post in the team led by Spanish compatriot Carlos Westendorp, the High Representative in Bosnia. And while on the subject of Bosnia, critics of the EU's slow response to world crises were silenced when, responding to calls on 2 August by Westendorp, the Luxembourg presidency called on EU member states to cut all ambassadorial contacts with Bosnia.
