A tool for the economic crisis: a single European Treasury

The current financial crisis offers the opportunity to make clear headway in the process of European integration through the creation of a Single Treasury for the euro zone countries. This would be a clear improvement on the institutional framework for European economic governance, improving the coordination of the stimulus policies implemented by member states, facilitating an end to the crisis and acting as a useful tool to tackle EU financing problems and bad debt.
