Activity Report 2009

From the Azores islands of Portugal to the Tatarstan region of Russia, from northern Finland’s Lappi region to the Italian island of Sicily, the Assembly of European Regions’ (AER) members govern around 280 million citizens in the wider Europe. Since 1985, AER has grown to become the largest network of regional authorities in Europe by offering members a real voice on the European stage and a dynamic forum for interregional cooperation.

This report presents the results of that mandate with a snapshot of AER’s activities and achievements in 2009.
