The Council of the European Union adopted on 3 April 2017 a set of conclusions on political developments in Somalia, in particular the election of Mohamed Abdullahi Mahamed Farmaajo as the country's President and the formation of a new government. The Council reaffirmed the EU's long-term commitment to Somalia and highlighted the need of a new partnership agreement between the country and the international community. |
