Adoption of resolutions on arrests in Russia and Belarus and on child brides in Bangladesh

The European Parliament's plenary session adopted on 6 April 2017 a set of resolutions relating to several human rights' issues across the world.

+ Resolution urging the Russian authorities to release opposition politician Alexei Navalny and other detained demonstrators;

+ Resolution condemning the crackdown on peaceful protestors and arrests of human rights defenders and journalists in Belarus;

+ Resolution calling on the government of Bangladesh to close loopholes in legislation that provides legal authorisation for child marriage.
