Against the European Parliament

Piketty and Habermas argue that the EU and the eurozone can be democratised by strengthening electoral-representative institutions. Such powers would only make popular control over EU political decisions even weaker than it already is say the authors of this article.

In a response (see related url) Stefan Collignon responds to 'Against the European Parliament', authored by Lorenzo del Savio and Matteo Mameli. A European representative government is the best way out of the crisis.
