Summary: Agreement between the European Union and Morocco laying down the terms and conditions for Morocco's participation in the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA). Further information: On 30 May 2017 the Council of the European Union authorised the European Commission to open negotiations with the Kingdom of Morocco on an International Agreement between the Union and Morocco laying down the terms and conditions for Morocco's participation in the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA). The negotiations started on 26 June 2017 and were successfully completed on 22 January 2018. The draft Agreement was published on 19 February, along with the Commission's proposals on the signing and conclusion of the Agreement. The signing and provisional application of the Agreement was approved on 19 March 2018 by Council Decision (EU) 2018/639, and the signature took place on 10 April. The conclusion of the agreement was approved on 6 November by Council Decision (EU) 2019/528. |
