Agriculture and Fisheries Council, 15-16 December 2020

Summary:

EU Ministers responsible for matters relating to agriculture and fisheries (AGRIFSH) held a videoconference on 15-16 December 2020. The agenda included the following items:

• Adoption of political agreement on catch limits for commercial fish stocks in the Atlantic, the North Sea, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea for 2021 and, in the case of deep-sea species, for 2021 and 2022;
• Adoption of conclusions on an EU-wide animal welfare label;
• Discussion on draft conclusions concerning front-of-pack nutrition labelling (FOPNL), nutrient profiles and origin labelling;
• Briefing on a conference on digitalisation and agriculture held earlier in the month;
• Briefing on the annual conference of directors EU paying agencies.
