Albania rejects disposing of Syrian chemical weapons, following US request and protests on the streets

Albania rejected in November 2013 to take in Syrian chemical weapons for disposal, following a request from the United States.

The country's prime minister argued the country did not have the facilities or the conditions to undertake such a task. Protests had taken the streets of Albanian capital against the request made to the government.
