Almunia sees good times ahead for EU

In the autmn economic forecasts 2006 issued by the European Commission on the 6 November 2006, Member States were given an upbeat economic report card, with predictions of healthy growth into 2008, falling unemployment, low inflation and a gradual return of order to the continent's public finances.
