The official opening of Hafod Eryri, the new visitor centre at the top of Mount Snowdon took place in June 2009. The project, managed by Snowdonia National Park Authority (SNPA), was made possible with £4.2m of European Union money, contributed from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), managed in Wales through the Wales European Funding Office (WEFO).
