Analysis of EU-27 household final consumption expenditure — Baltic countries and Greece still suffering most from the economic and financial crisis

As consumption is a key indicator of citizen's well-being, this article analyses data on the evolution and structure of final consumption expenditure over the past decade. A main finding is that the Baltic states and Greece were most severely affected by the last economic and financial crisis, with a reduction in actual individual consumption of 12% to 15% between 2008 and 2011.
