The report describes the developments in the field of free movement of workers across the whole of the EU in 2010-2011. It reviews new case law of the Court of Justice of the EU and reports on issues such as discrimination on the basis of nationality, nationality quotas in sports, residence and transitional arrangements for workers with nationalities of Member States which joined the EU more recently.

[The European Network on Free Movement of Workers within the European Union is coordinated by the University of Nijmegen's Centre for Migration Law (under the European Commission's supervision). It:

+ keeps track of legislation on free movement of workers and how it is applied
+ monitors how national courts interpret EU laws
+ raises awareness of the importance of free movement of workers as a fundamental right].
