The Annual Management and Performance Report for the EU budget is the document through which the European Commission takes overall political responsibility for the management of the previous year EU budget. It is the main contribution to the annual discharge procedure by which the other EU institutions scrutinise the implementation of the EU budget. It fulfils the Commission's obligations under the TFEU and the financial regulation.

This report demonstrates that the European Union used its 2020 budget rapidly and effectively to mitigate the crisis triggered by the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and its consequences.
