Annual report 2008
This Annual Report focuses on the present and future energy positions of the European Union. It analyses future EU energy demand (up to 2020), EU/EEA resources and reserves of energy sources and investment in power generation capacities required in the EU to meet future energy demand and the climate change targets.

Annual report 2009
The 2009 Annual Report takes a closer look at energy market developments (oil, gas and electricity) over the period between 2008 to mid 2009 which was marked by the global financial and economic crisis. The Annual Report also analyses the situation concerning important energy supplier and transit countries and puts the emphasis on investment in new renewable energy production capacities.

Annual report 2010
The 2010 Annual Report of the Market Observatory for Energy focuses on the time period from the beginning of 2009 to mid-2010.

Energy markets witnessed a slow but gradual recovery from their lows reached in the early months of 2009. The report provides a detailed description of the evolution of oil, gas and electricity markets in the EU. The energy profiles of a selection of important energy trading partners for the EU are also briefly presented.
