Abstract:

This work presents a comprehensive and practical commentary on the major developments in EC and national antitrust law during 2002.

The book, which follows a similar format to the successful 2001 edition, is divided into two main parts. Part one deals with EC Competition Law Developments and consists of chapters dealing with issues such as Vertical Restraints, Horizontal Agreements, Abuse of Market Power, Mergers and Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, State Aid and Policy and Procedure. Part two looks at National Competition Developments in a number of European countries - Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The book closes with a Table of Cases and a substantial Keyword Index.
