ASB tells UK companies to ignore EU ruling on accounting standards

Less than three months before listed companies across the European Union are required to harmonise accounting standards, the United Kingdom's Accounting Standards Board has suggested, on 12 October 2004, that companies should ignore a European Union compromise on international accounting standards
