Assessing the potential impacts of climate change on food- and waterborne diseases in Europe

This report was written to present the findings of a project entitled ‘Impact of climate change on food- and
waterborne diseases in Europe’, which was commissioned by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), in accordance with its mandate to identify emerging threats to communicable disease control in the EU. The document was prepared for public health institutions, public health policymakers, and other experts dedicated to the control of food- and waterborne pathogens. It should be of particular relevance to those working within EU Member States, but it may also be relevant to a broader international audience.
