Athens seeks nod from Eurogroup but officials skeptical

Negotiations continued between Greece and its international lenders in the first week of May 2015. On the 7 May 2015 Kathimerini reported that there was hope in Athens that the planned Eurogroup meeting on 11 May 2015 would bring a positive statement from eurozone finance ministers on the state of progress.

However, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras stressed that Greece would stick to its 'red lines' in negotiations with creditors, protecting pensions and the labour sector.
