Austrian chancellor urges EU court to heed national feelings

Report of comments made by Austrian Chancellor and current European Union President, Wolfgang Schüssel, at the European Subsidiarity Conference 2006, 'Europe begins at home', St Pölten, 18-19 April 2006. Mr Schüssel warned that judges at the European Court of Justice should take account of national sensitivities or risk worsening public antipathy towards the EU.
