Austria's President and Prime Minister met on 13 February 2017 with the European Council President and the President of the European Commission.

Several topics were addressed during these meetings, including bilateral relations and Austria's rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2018, the challenges imposed by migration and freedom of movement for workers within the European Union.

The Austrian President also addressed the plenary session of the European Parliament on 14 February.
