Bangladesh has been warned by the Union

that the deteriorating political situation and growing instability in the country could hamper economic development, affect foreign trade and damage relations between Dhaka and the bloc. The warning comes just weeks after the EU signed a new cooperation agreement with the south Asian state which aims to boost trade and shore up democracy.
