Banks warn against EU consumer credit plan

In a report from the British Bankers Association Banks compiled by Oxera Consulting, the authors warned, May 2007, that a European Union proposal to harmonise consumer credit laws across the 27 member states will make it more difficult for citizens to obtain loans and will damage the region's financial services industry.
