Barroso takes stock after 10 years at the Commission

During an interview with the French broadcasters RFI and France24, the outgoing European Commission President José Manuel Barroso admitted he had lost some illusions about the European Union, but not his enthusiasm.

Mr Barroso also defended his mandates - characterised by successive crises - and announced he had no plans to return to politics.
