Belgium to press for reform convention

Report of Statement by Presidency-in-Office of Council, Guy Verhofstadt, Belgian Prime Minister, on the Programme of the Belgian Presidency and comments by Europena Commission President Romano Prodi in the European Parliament, Strasbourg, 4 July 2001. Both men called for a convention or forum to prepare the next round of EU institutional reforms.
