Report of an interview given by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to foreign journalists in Italy on the 12 April 2011.

Mr Berlusconi faces a range of court cases, including charges of paying for sex with an underage prostitute. According to Il Giornale, a newspaper owned by the Berlusconi family, the trials are destabilising his allies, provoking speculation over who will take over as leader and whether his People of Liberty party will survive. Mr Berlusconi dismissed the prospect of resignation, even if convicted, insisting he would see out the remaining two years of his third stint in office.
