Blair admits new row with Paris / Blair admits to new French row

The UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair, publicly acknowledged on 4 November 2002 that there were new tensions between the UK and France, this time over the creation of a common European defence policy. Both the UK and France want a hand in shaping the direction of the European Union's fledgling European and Security Defence Policy.
