Blair keen to hide French resistance

Commentary considers the implications of a French No vote in the referendum on the European Constitution, 29 May 2005. Although UK Government Ministers will not say so publicly, if France rejects the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe is seems unlikely that a British referendum will take place in 2006. A French No vote would also cause Yes campaigns in other Member States to falter.
