In the third election in four years Bulgaria voted on the 26 March 2017. The centre-right party Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) under former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov secured the largest percentage of votes at aproximately 33%. The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), with a more pro-Russia perspective, came second with around 27%. GERB would need to spend time in putting together a coalition with smaller parties. |
