Brexit Is Not All Bad for the EU

As the drama over a possible British exit from the EU rumbles on, the author's belief is that the UK should leave. Not because she is a Eurosceptic but, on the contrary, because she strongly supports the EU. The risks for the EU of Britain leaving have been widely discussed and should not be underestimated, but there are also benefits for an EU without the UK. Resolving many of the EU’s current challenges requires deeper integration and collective action—and sensible reforms. None of this is possible with an obstructionist UK still in the club.
