Bridging the Rifts in French Society

As a public policy think tank dedicated to studying issues that resonate internationally, France Stratégie publishes regularly in English on the labour market, the digital economy, sustainable development, economics and social affairs.A France Stratégie report published in October 2016 confirmed that France today stands as a house divided. Issues such as wealth inequality, stalling social mobility and a lacklustre job market had driven a wedge through its society. What’s more, French citizens’ tendency to perceive the predicament as worse than it actually was reflected a growing distrust of the institutions that form the backbone of the country.
