Britain is said to be in a minority of EU Member States who wish to keep the current sanctions against Serbia intact. In the event, following the informal General Affairs Council at Evian, 2-3.9., EU Foreign Ministers decided to retain the sanctions at least until after the Serbian Presidential elections on 24 September 2000. |
