Brussels challenge to Bosnia

Article reports that in 1995, international pressure forced Bosnians to end the bloody three-year war that erupted with the fall of the former Yugoslavia. Ever since, efforts to build a stable peace have been plagued by the mistrust which still divides Bosnian Muslims, Croats and Serbs.

Now, in the autumn of 2009, acting more in hope than expectation, the European Union and the US have given the leaders of Bosnia 10 days to sort out their differences by the 20 October 2009.
