Brussels cool on volcanic ash aid for airlines

European Union transport ministers expressed reservations on the 4 May 2010 about financial aid for airlines and airports stricken by an Iceland's volcano eruption in April 2010.

Ministers endorsed ideas to try to minimise the impact of future disasters, including the creation of a crisis co-ordination group and accelerating the push for a unified European air traffic control system.
