Brussels softens stance over loan guarantees

The European Commission is expected on 20 September 2006 tol unveil a substantially revised version of its so-called "de minimis" rules. As a result, companies in the European Union will be able to benefit from government loan guarantees worth up to €1.7m without facing regulatory scrutiny.
