Brussels toughens up on policing EU energy efficiency laws

The European Commissioner for Energy and Climate Action, Miguel Arias Cañete, told EurActiv in March 2015 that the Commission was ready to toughen up the enforcement of energy efficiency rules by launching infringement procedures against non-compliant EU Member States.

This matter was scheduled to be present at the European Council in March 2015, as part of the discussions around the Energy Union initiative.
